As a Consultant, was responsible for the design, development, implementation and enhancement of the VISUAL BASIC Global Broking System. This system was originally developed in VISUAL BASIC 3.0/4.0 and was later ported to VISUAL BASIC 5.0. Also responsible for serving as the hands-on Project Lead for this development for one year. Specific responsibilities included:
- Hands-on project lead for client side programming team with sixteen members. These included employees, third-party contractors, and Andersen consultants.
- Involved with the development of both functional and technical specifications, including meeting with users to determine functionality and working with the design team.
- Designed and developed VISUAL BASIC client-side windows based on design specifications within a technical architecture.
- Unit and string tested coded modules to ensure correct functionality.
- Designed and developed enhancements to the system and provided maintenance support to system test and production.
- Responsible for the release that ported the VISUAL BASIC code from 16-bit to 32-bit, changing a single .exe (approximately 60 windows) to an .exe of six windows with the remaining windows ActiveX DLLs.
- Managed the client-side responsibilities for a complete re-write of the system in VISUAL BASIC 5.0.
- Managed four releases of this system through the full project life cycle.
- Managed simultaneous lines of code – development code, system test code and production code in different environments.
- Responsible for all estimation of work for front-end code based on specifications given by design team, kept workplan up-to-date and assigned all work to team members.
- Technical and functional liaison for client code with other teams as well as members on the client team.
- Interviewed and hired all people for team.
- Implemented process standards for the team by formal unit test plans, time tracking and string testing strategy.
- Conducted code reviews for members of client team.
- Provided monthly status reports for senior management.
All work was done using Visual Basic 3.0, 4.0 & 5.0, Documentum, Sybase 10 & 11, Tuxedo, ACTIVE X and PVCS.
Prudential Property and Casualty Insurance Company, Holmdel, NJ 6/93 –

As a consultant:
- Designed, developed and implemented a 57 screen Electronic Home Application for laptops (using VISUAL BASIC 3.0, ACCESS, RoboHELP, VB Assist, JetForm 4.0 and CRYSTAL REPORTS.
- Conducted intensive week-long training session for the Electronic Home Application.
- Utilized pen technology in the Electronic Home Application via Windows for Pen Computing.
Infinity Info Systems, Corp., New York, NY 3/93 – 1/95
As a Consultant, was responsible for developing custom database conversion tools using VISUAL BASIC 3.0 and CRYSTAL REPORTS. Also completed database conversions from various database packages to ACT! (Windows and DOS) using VISUAL BASIC 2.0, FOXPRO for WINDOWS 2.5 and a Merge/Convert utility.

World Wildlife Fund, Washington, D.C. 1/87 – 9/88
Designed, developed and implemented all software requirements for the Fund Raising Department, including the Major Donor Database System, using VAX/BASIC. Performed all system administrative functions for 30 users on DEC/VAX machines and conducted training classes of the Major Donor Database System and various word processing packages.
